Essential Oils for Beauty and Burns

Sensual lovers, recently I burned myself again. I have to be a little more careful in the kitchen. This time, I singed about 2 inches of skin on my inner elbow- not a great place as every time I moved my arm, I opened the wound. Wowzers, it wasn’t comfortable.

Thank goodness for the regenerative, anti-bacterial power of essential oils. My protocol was simple and effective. After the initial run of peppermint to cool the skin, I continued with lavender, and lots of it. For about a week, I applied it every few minutes (or whenever the pain would strike). It was immediately calming and regenerating. I could see the skin knit itself back together. I also bathed the skin in bright sunshine (and Vitamin D). After the skin healed over, I wanted to ensure that it wouldn’t scar so I applied the supremely healing skin serum- a blend that makes skin sparkle. Day by day, it disappeared without puffy or pulled skin, red inflamed skin or discoloration. Viva! It’s all happening.

Supremely Healing Skin Serum

I use this blend of oils everyday for my face; it  is incredible for healing, wrinkles, moisturizing and general tone. The blend contains many oils that are high in monoterpenes, the molecules responsible for skin regeneration. Additionally, it has come in very handy as this silly burn heals. It contains:

Jojoba oil- jojoba is one molecule away from skin sebum. Our skin naturally understands the oil, which is actually a liquid wax, and is able to use and metabolize it. These qualities make jojoba an excellent base for any skin and any skin condition. Another benefit is it has a naturally long shelf life.

Aguje oil- this is a very special healing oil that a dear friend brought me from Peru. It is a wildly orange color that penetrates the skin and literally turns back time. It is a powerful healing agent and helps to dramatically minimize wrinkles and improve the look and tone of skin. It’s a Peruvian beauty secret.

Acai oil- I bought this very special oil in Brazil. I love it for it’s potency and healing ability. Acai is very high in its anti-oxidant value. Acai reduces irritation and improves cellular health, making it an excellent addition to any facial serum.

Rose Otto- Rose otto is the queen of essential oils. It’s a steam distilled oil that works beautifully to counteract age spots, wrinkles and blemishes. It is very emollient to the skin and smells absolutely heavenly. Rose otto is expensive, but its healing powers are well worth the price.

Rose Otto

Frankincense- This ancient oil is powerful in supporting the lungs and skin (paired organs in Traditional Chinese Medicine). Frankincense helps to calm the skin and the mind. Frankincense helps with the oxygenation of the skin and removes unwanted pathogens from the lymphatic immune system. It is a powerful ally against wrinkles and blemishes. It’s good for meditation too.

Sandalwood- This oil is very calming for the skin. It helps skin maintain its elasticity and draws moisture into the sebum. It also has anti-acne properties and helps to minimize blemishes, dark spots and discoloration. Sandalwood calms irritation both in the skin and emotions.

Sandlewood

Neroli- This oil has been used for centuries for its healing and anti-aging properties. It is a general euphoric and I can’t help but think that it makes the skin happy too. Neroli is amazing at making scars disappear. Every time I use the Supremely Healing Skin Serum, I watch the scar minimize and come back to its normal color. Neroli promotes new cell growth and makes the cells that are already there healthier, stronger and larger.

Lavender is a wonderful skin balancer and re-generator. It helps to boost the antibacterial properties of the blend and contributes to its deep healing ability. It also helps to regenerate new skin cells and sloughs off the dead skin cells that contribute to a dull appearance.

Geranium is similar to rose otto in its ability to improve skin’s elasticity. It naturally makes skin softer and is very effective for protection against harsh wind conditions. It promotes blood circulation to areas in need and is an effective overall and inexpensive healer.

I use this serum day and night for youthful skin and anytime there is a skin irritation. There is potent healing powers in the plants.
