How to start a LOVE revolution in 10 steps

1. Stand up for love. We vacillate constantly between love and fear. It’s exhausting. Fear is a pattern, love is a choice. Take notice when you are shutting down or expanding in your heart. That alone will create a huge, positive change in your life and in the world. Move deeply into your heart, connect in with all the beautiful things that make your heart expand. Push out love to all your cells, into your etheric field and out into the world. It is a good act of service. Love it all, even the stuff that hurts. Love is divine.

2. Practice daily acts of self-love. This can be a hard one for many. We are taught math, history and languages but not how to value our unique, important contribution in the world. When we are loving and kind to ourselves in our words, thoughts and actions, we are more likely to act more lovingly to those in our world. How often do you catch yourself engaging in negative self-talk or actions? It’s destructive, limiting and not true. Fall deeply in love with yourself. Write yourself love notes. Compliment yourself in the mirror. Buy yourself flowers. Treat yourself like you would your lover, best friend, or sister. You are the prize and worth being praised. Love is healing.

3. Pause before reacting. Humans are impatient, difficult, reactionary and sometimes ornery. How many misunderstandings would be avoided if we took a moment to pause and think about our words and actions before acting on them? Love is kindness.

4.  Be impeccable in your words. Words are powerful and form a basis for trust. If you are not speaking from a loving, authentic place, people will have difficulty trusting you. Love is faith.

5. Commit small acts of love every day. Human beings want to help, be of service, and make the world a better place. If you want to start feeling more good feelings, do something kind, loving, generous and/or unexpected for someone, even a stranger. The love extends outwards and inwards. The best way to feel more love is to give it away freely, with joy and without expectation. Love is compassion.

6. Make peace with your parents. They did their best. They are human and much like you, they screw up a lot. Forgive them and try to see their positive loving attributes that helped to form you into the brilliant star you are. Your resentment, disappointment and irritation will only prolong your suffering, and who wants that anyway? Love is forgiveness.

7.  Be kind to our planet. Our inner world reflects our outer world. Our environment is fragile and precarious. We can do a lot to change the negative cycle of degradation by investing in our world. Plant a tree, go to the forest, or clean up some litter. When we tend to our outer worlds, we will see positive, beneficial change in our inner worlds. Love is responsibility.

8. Meditate on love. Pull energy from the earth and sky and let it rest in your heart. Send love and gratitude in both directions. After a moment, receive love from both forces. Use this love to meet and mingle in your heart and infuse all of your body cells with the most beautiful sparkling vibration you can muster. Love is Nature.

9. See commonalities rather than differences. Our egos work to keep us separate to help us feel safe. That’s a fallacy. We are all one. We suffer from feelings of insecurity, self-worth, fear, disappointment, judgement. If we can tune into the fact that everyone is working through their own personal struggles, we are more likely to feel compassion, love and kindness to our brothers and sisters. Love is family.

10. Love even when you don’t want to. Love takes work, trust, commitment. It’s easy to get negative. It’s constant practice to keep your vibration high when life gets tough. It is our work to stay firm in the light and not falter. By consciously committing to love, you will ascend faster and with more joy than you ever thought possible. My hope is that by committing to love, we will be less violent, less reactionary, and less selfish and live in the sacred world that resides in all of our hearts. This is the place where all is well. Love is prayer.
