November Full Moon: Harvest the Seeds you Have Planted

misty moon

It is full moon time here at Sensual Living. Honestly, sometimes I feel like I should start these posts with a howl.

It’s November. I have heard that many people simply loathe this month. In the northern hemisphere, the days are increasingly shorter, the nights are increasingly colder and November signals the start of the Christmas season (so says retailers with their pop-up displays ready to go on the first of the month).

I can understand the slightly ominous feeling. It’s a long time before the sweet blossoms of spring open and we are again flowing in summer breezes. I say nuts to that. Take November by the horns and use this opportunity for our growth and transformation; and right now we are endlessly supported by wisdom of the moon.

Tonight’s November moon is called The Full Beaver Moon, Frost Moon, and Geese Going Moon.

beaver-treeBeavers are busy at this time of year getting ready for winter. Beaver medicine helps bring the wisdom of creativity. Beavers maintain the ability to be productive in all ways by not limiting their options, being persistent, using available resources, finding and using alternate ways of doing tasks. They are master builder of all things, and careful not damming the flow of experiences in life. How can you use the darker, cooler month of November to initiate creative projects? How can you pool your resources to create more of what you want? Do you need to make a list? Do inventory? Now is the time to take action and stock of where you are and where you want to be before the next Beaver moon.

The Frost moon tells us that it is time to ensure that we have harvested all the seeds we have planted in the previous seasons. We must work swiftly to tie up any loose ends to not lose the fruits of our labour. The frost is a definitive end to a cycle. It can be satisfying if you are prepared or harsh if you are slack in what needs to be done.

The Geese Going moon felt like me last year. At that time, I was busily getting ready to head south to Brazil. I was thrilled to leave cold northern climes and also ridiculously busy (sorry adrenals) scampering to get it all done.

This year I am occupied with my Aromatherapy for Sensual Living book, to be released in May 2015, some new Aromatherapy workshops and a very exciting project that I will announce shortly. I am so thrilled to be able to bring this mysterious project forth to you. It’s a total game-changer. I can hardly contain myself. I am a beaver slapping her  tail in the water with glee.

Sensual lovers, sometimes you have to close your eyes, charge forward, take a running leap and trust that you will be caught and held by the magnificence of the universe. I hope you use the energy of this full moon to manifest your greatest and most intimate aspirations. Please share what is sparking your creativity and ingenuity. I would love to know.

By the sparkly light of the full moon!
